Every year more people find new ways to say no to manipulation, coercion, fraud and abuse. Remember also in your self not to treat yourself well *so that* your body or self won’t feel bad.
Make sure that you are not using compassion as a negotiation. Make sure that your attention to self is not motivated by reward and punishment, to fostering and mitigating your painful or your pleasurable experience of reality.
When you practice your self care, practice detachment from result. Act in the present no ‘so that’ or ‘in spite of’, detach from the results to attach more fully to your present.
And in the present moment in your self care or in your care of the others you’ll develop a great trust in yourself. The knowledge will slowly trickle in that as I am, as it is, as we are great love can shine in and warm the deepest layers.
Only in relation to the present can we experience truly what we are.
